Cette profusion d’outils est le reflet d’un marché en pleine ébullition. Le revers de la médaille est que les concepteurs doivent composer avec de nombreux formats de fichiers : STEP, IGES, STL, OCX, 3DXML…Cette diversité produit mécaniquement de la complexité lorsqu’il s’agit de mettre en musique toutes les données de conception d’un projet naval.

SmartShape est une solution complète pour la gestion de vos projets navals, permettant à toutes les parties prenantes de travailler de manière collaborative sur un jumeau numérique :
Focus sur la collaboration entre [[SmartShape et les Chantiers de l’Atlantique]].
SmartShape accompagne les Chantiers de l’Atlantique pour la conception, la construction et le suivi d’exploitation de plus de 10 navires.
L’utilisation de SmartShape a notamment permis d’optimiser le processus de classification, qui reposait jusqu’alors sur des boucles itératives entre les bureaux d’étude du chantier naval et Bureau Veritas.
Les modèles 3D réalisés en CAO étaient transposés en blueprints 2D afin que l’organisme de classification réalise ses analyses et calculs. Les blueprints mis à jour étaient ensuite transmis aux bureaux d’étude, qui réalisaient de nouveaux modèles 3D, à nouveau transposés en blueprints 2D, etc.
BureauVeritas : l’approbation de la conception des navires avec SmartShape
L’utilisation de modèles numériques évite de générer plusieurs dessins 2D, ce qui accélère considérablement le processus de design verification, tant pour le chantier naval mais aussi pour Bureau Veritas, qui utilise les modèles 3D pour générer automatiquement des modèles de calcul. En plus de ce gain de temps, ce nouveau processus améliore la qualité du produit : les entités partagent une unique source de données, évitant ainsi l’inconstance inhérente aux multiples révisions des dessins.
